Added bonus to the National Stamping Month Celebration!

This is the awesome stamp set that comes in the Everyday Celebration card kit. There are 19 stamps in this set.

This is the package of Mini Medley Chocolate shades collection. I love the square brads and the buckles. Sorry the picture is not very clear.

You also get 2 distressing ink pads 1" square, one is Chocolate and the other is Dutch Blue. A sponge and some Chocolate Ribbon. The instructions are all in the brochure and are very easy to follow.

Now Close To My Heart has added a bonus to the National Stamping Month Celebration. Starting September 1, anyone who makes a purchase will be entered into a daily drawing for a free card kit! To qualify for the daily drawing you only have to place an order with me (through a Gathering Order, Individual Order, or a MyCTMH purchase). This means you don't absolutely have to purchase $60 dollars in stamps to get the card kit for FREE, but it doesn't mean you will actually get one of these Awesome kits either.

In the past Close To My Heart has offered card kits for National Stamping month and they sell out way before the end of the month. So don't wait too long if you really want one of these kits.

I think I might work on putting these cards together tomorrow, so I can show how awesome they really are.

Jordan's First pages

Here is Jordan's first 12" x 12" scrapbook pages. Jordan is 10, he is my oldest Grandchild. Can you tell he is proud of his Dad?

I used SCAL to cut the letters out on the Cricut and I used the Cricut cartridge "Stand and Salute" to cut the AK47, the Helmet and the soldier. Jordan put it all together.

Sunflower pages.

I finally added Mary's Giant Sunflower pictures to the Tinkerin' pages, and look how cute. I even journaled in my own had writing. I don't like my hand writing so this is a big deal.

Mary's First Scrapbook Page.

I just wanted to share the very first scrapbook page My Granddaughter has made by her self. I did help a little, but she die cut all the people and clothes and glued them all together and placed them where she wanted them. I cut the Clouds, waves and Castle on the Cricut. I showed her how to distress the waves and clouds. We used the new Snow Flurries Stamp set (D1384) to make the wind look with versa mark ink.

I think Mary did a great job for being 6 years old.

More new cards.

I used the New Grace Papers from Close To My Heart and Gracious Greetings stamp set.
I used the new Delightful Things stamp set with the Grace papers here.
Again I used the New Grace Papers and the New Delightful Things Stamp set. I popped up the daisy flower that I double stamped and hand cut.
This is pretty much the same card, I just swapped the B & T paper.

This card I used the same Grace paper but used the back side of the blue paper and stamped the border and hand cut it and layered a piece of Twilight on the inside of the card and added some Organdy ribbon.

I hope you like the cards. I really do intend on making more scrapbook pages, but I have to keep up with all the birthdays on my calendar.

Kylie's Birthday card.

Kylie called me this morning, to thank me for her birthday card.

I usually tuck something special in the birthday cards for the little ones on my list under 12. And this looked like the perfect holder. I used Dream Wishes level 2 papers and the Happy Endings Stamp set to make this card.
I made this card after seeing the Halloween Treat holder tutorial by Teresa Black here is the link, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFAIcwstmv0&feature=channel_page . I modified the pattern a bit so it would fit into an invitation envelope. it is 4 1/4" x 12" and I scored at 4" and at 8 1/4" and again at 8 1/2". I cut the oval 1/4" from the end that I started scoring from. You will need to fold the card to see exactly where you need to cut the 1/2 Circle.

I know it's not a scrapbook page, but I will get back to scrapin soon.

Tinkerin'

Well, I did get the Tinkerin' kit finished but I didn't follow all of the instructions. I didn't feel like putting all the eyelets in that I was supposed to and I changed some for Brads. I think they turned out pretty cute. Matter of fact I was thinking that the pictures of Mary and her Giant Sunflowers would look pretty cute on these pages. Who knows maybe that is what I will work on tomorrow, at least until we go to the Clackamas County Fair.

This is the Left page.

This is the Right page.

This is the first card, it is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

This is the 2 nd card it is 5 1/2" X 4 1/4".

This is the 3 rd card and it is 3" x 3".

I am trying to get caught up on the kits that I am behind with so that I can work with some of the new papers and stamp sets out of the new Idea Book. I ordered some of the new sets and I can hardly wait to start playing with them. I also want to start working on my Christmas cards.

Another Scrapbook Kit done today!

Can you believe it? I had another day with nothing that I had to do, so I played all day again today.

This is the Emporium Level 2 paper Kit. I did a lot of distressing on these pages too. I used the Cricut to cut out the letters.

Here is the Bella Scrapbook kit as promised.

This is from the Bella Level 2 paper pack. There was a lot of distressing. The picture does not do the page justice at all. I used buttons for the flower centers and popped them up on foam tape. I hand cut out all the leafy sprigs. I also used a lot of brads. This kit was designed by Shannon Buck, my up line.

Giant Sunflowers?

Back on July 19, 2009 I posted a picture of my Granddaughters and the plants they planted. Well, I just took another picture of Miss Mary and her Giant Sunflowers. Look how big they are!!

this plant is over 8 feet tall. This is the one I posted on July 19th.

Isn't it amazing what a difference one month makes. I'm just glad the kids don't grow that fast.

Ok, now that I have the posted the picture of the Giant Sunflower, I promise I will get to some well over due Scrapbooking.

Cloverbuds Judging for the Clackamas County Fair.

I was a little concerned a few weeks back when my friend asked me to help judge for the fair. Well, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I did the judging for the "Cloverbuds" of the 4H program. I received entries from 40 Kindergarten through 3rd graders. I really enjoyed talking to each of the Cloverbuds. Each one unique with how they explained how they made each item. They brought sewing, cookies, art, photography and even engineering items. I had a variety of items ranging from chocolate chip cookies to a marshmallow shooter with bling. I had so much fun, it was unbelievable.

Hope you enjoy this wonderful weather we are having,

Janice

What do you mean it's time for Fair?

Wow, I didn't realize it has been 2 weeks since I posted last. How time flies. My friend, Loyal, came over last week and I helped her make posters for the Clackamas County Fair, well I cut the letters and other decorations out on the Cricut and Loyal did all the real work that went into the posters. We had fun and enjoyed our day together.

I made this card about a week ago and love how it turned out, I used CTMH's Emporium paper pack, my new embossing folders from Cuttle Bug and my Sister Carolyn's favorite bible verse.

I made this one from CTMH's Unforgettable paper pack and Aspirations stamp set.

I used papers from the Tickled Pink Scrapbooking kit special. I used the embossing folders again and little white buckles from the Mini Medley White daisy collection. I added my sister Shirley's favorite bible verse to this one and it is her favorite colors too.

This one I made for my Father-in-Law who recently suffered a stroke and is currently in a nursing home receiving physical therapy and getting stronger every day. This is a sneak peak from the new Autumn/Winter Idea book. It is called Sweet Home.

I really need to get some of my Scrapbooking done but I'm having too much fun making cards.

Scrapbook Pages at last!

I know I said I would post my scrapbook pages here and now I have. I don't have pictures on them yet, but those will come later.

This is a kit I purchased from my up-line. I love how she has a two page spread and 3 cards that all match and she has us use a different technique each month too. We used Back Country Level 2 paper pack, E1007 Homestead Alphabet set and stamped the letters in Sunflower and then rocked them in Olive to give them a multi tone look. We also used C1362 You're a Hoot, that is where the owls came from. You can see the technique better in the close up pics below. We also distressed the edges of the Background and Texture (B&T) papers.

Here are the pages up close.

I cheated a little, I was supposed to hand cut out the leafy branch border on the right page, but I used my Cricut Design Studio and the Camp out Cricut cartridge and welded several branches together and let the Cricut do the work for me. I love my Cricut!!!

This is one of the 3 cards in the kit. It is 3" x 3". Not a lot to this card other than distressing the edges of the Background (B&T) paper. I missed the step to distress the Colonial White card stock. Ooops!

This is the 2 nd card from the kit and it is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". We stamped these letters in Sunflower and trimmed them and added hemp before placing the letters on the card front. The owl we stamped in barn red and rocked in Outdoor Denim. I did hand cut the leafy branch on this one. We added sunflower brads for the owls eyes.

This is the 3rd card in the kit and it is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" We distressed the edges of the Background (B&T) papers and stamped the owl in Barn red and then rocked it in outdoor denim. Added the brads to the eyes and placed on the card.

I made these cards with the Back Country level 2 paper pack and the D1353 Campin' Fever stamp set. I made them a couple days ago, but didn't get them posted. I followed the Workshops on the go from My CTMH website. Very masculine I think.

I hope you enjoy the new items I posted today and if you have any questions please call or email me and I will try to answer them.

I got a sneak peak at the new Fall/Winter Idea book. WOW!!! It has changed a lot!!! There are some new products and lots of new stamps. I also have the new retired list.
