7 signs of gluten intolerance

7 Signs Of Gluten Intolerance, Everyone Ignores!

It’s been said that the vast majority of people who have a gluten intolerance will never be diagnosed and that as much as 15% of Americans have some type of gluten sensitivity or intolerance, if not celiac disease. Are you one of them? Here are the 7 subtle signs to look for:
1. Keratosis Pilaris
  • Otherwise known as “chicken skin” that’s commonly found on the backs of arms and your thighs is the result of fatty acid deficiency caused by gluten damaging the gut.
2. Persistent Headaches
  • Migraines and persistent headaches is another potential sign of gluten intolerance. They can also be signs of dehydration and other disorders. See a physician if your headaches don’t stop.
3. Autoimmune Diseases
  • Certainly not in all cases, but in some cases, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, Lupus, Scleroderma, Multiple Sclerosis, and Psoriasis have been found to be rooted in gluten intolerance.
4. Routine Digestive Issues
  • Gas, diarrhea, bloating, and constipation that persists seemingly without cause is one of the most obvious signs. Constipation is a common sign of gluten intolerance in children.
5. Dizziness
  • Dizziness and feeling off balance is yet another sign of gluten intolerance.
6. Chronic Fatigue
  • Chronic fatigue can be caused by something as easy to fix as dehydration and as severe as HIV. If you have chronic fatigue, see a doctor about it. Fatigue, brain fog, and feeling tired especially after meals that contain gluten are another clear indicator.
7. Fibromyalgia
  • Some people diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue actually have gluten intolerance but don’t realize it. If you’ve been diagnosed, consider gluten as the potential cause.
Going Gluten free has certailnly changed my life.  No pain, no pain meds, I sleep, no brain fog, and my arms don't look like that anymore. I'm now able to walk a 5k.  It has been an amazing transformation.  You really should try going gluten free. I went on a Comprehensive Elimination Diet Nov. 4th 2010 and was pain free after a week and a half.  I didn't add food back to my diet for 2 1/2 years, because I was afraid of the pain coming back. When I finally added the foods back one at a time, I found that I have several food allergies.  All grains, all nuts.  Sugar has a huge impact and so does dairy.  I eat mostly Fruits and vegies, organic chicken and wild caught Salmon.  I make my own seasoning mixes or I use Wildtree Seasonings,

Here are a couple of links to the comprehensive elimination diets.  I did the top one, but the other has different recipes plus meal plans for the week.

Look what's coming in December!

I am so excited for this new planner system. I have been looking at them but hadn't decieded on the one I wanted when I heard the news that CTMH was coming out with one.

Check this out.

Everyday Life™ Planner System
The Everyday Life line introduces multiple products that work together seamlessly to create a planner, a My Crush book, or a product of your own creation!
It all starts with the Everyday Life album ($10.95 USD/$13.25 CAD), a beautiful, black three-ring album with gold foil design that measures 9 3/8” x 8 ¼”. This album size makes the album multi-purpose, allowing you to decide what you put in it. To fill up your album, the Everyday Life line will also include:
  • The Everyday Life 2016 planner pages ($15.95 USD/$18.95 CAD): 154 planner pages, 12 monthly dividers with tabs, a pocket folder page, a designed page finder, and four sheets of stickers. With monthly and weekly spreads and printed dates, these pages have all the features you need to stay organized—and look good doing it!
  • Everyday Life Perfect Plan roller stamp ($8.95 USD/$10.50 CAD): This fun and functional roller stamp coordinates perfectly with the label stickers, enabling you to customize your planner even further.
  • My Crush® Everyday Life pages ($7.95 USD/$9.50 CAD): A set of 60 double-sided, gorgeous My Crush pages. These pages can be used on their own to create a beautiful My Crush book, or they can be combined with the planner pages to give you more room in your planner for preserving your memories while giving your planner even more flair.
  • Everyday Life Washi Tape ($3.95 USD/$4.50 CAD): because every My Crush book needs a good washi for attaching photos and other memorabilia to your pages.
  • Memory Protectors ($6.95 USD/$7.95 CAD): we’re introducing two new styles of pocket memory protectors sized to fit into the Everyday Life album. One will have two 4” x 6” pockets, the other four 4” x 3” pockets. Use these to add your favorite Picture My Life™ cards and photos into the mix!
Altogether, the Everyday Life line gives you ultimate flexibility in creating a planner/My Crush book/pocket album uniquely customized to you. Best of all, since we know that the time to buy planners is now, we will not be waiting until the release of Seasonal Expressions 1 to make these products available to you; instead, we’ll be making them available as soon as we have them. We anticipate most of these items to be available late November, with the exception of the washi tape, which will be available mid-December.

To add even more excitement, we’ll also be offering a discounted bundle for purchasing the album, planner pages, and roller stamp together. This bundle will have its own item number and will give you these innovative and exciting products for just $29.95 USD/$35.95 CAD—a 15% discount off the retail value!
We love this new product line and we know you are going to love it, too. We’ll be sharing more information and images about the Everyday Life line and the discounted planner bundle in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

Stampin Buds Blog Hop - White Pines

Hi everyone, welcome to One Scraptastic Grandma's blog.  Thanks for stoping by the Stampin' Buds Blog Hop.  I am one of several who participate in this monthly Blog Hop.  You probably just came from Jamie's blog Doesn't Jamie have some super cute stuff.

Everyone asks about the name of my blog. When I started my blog in 2009, I had no idea what to call it.  So I reached out to my family and my Grandson Jordan (11at the time) came up with the name and so that is how my blog One Scraptastic Grandma got it's name.

Now on to the fun stuff.

I choose to use White Pines paper pack for my Blog Hop Project. Which just happens to be out of stock till approximately Nov. 4th.  I have created a 2 page layout using the White Pines paper pack, the CTMH Artistry Cricut Cartridge and the CTMH Artiste Cricut Cratridge  I will have a list below of all the products I used to make this layout.
 Left page
 Right page
Close up of top left of the layout
Close up of the bottom right of layout

List of supplies you will need to complete these pages.

I made a couple cards while I had all the stuff out too
I used the  Red Enamel Gems Z3090 $3.95 and New England Ivy Paper #1282 $14.50 in addition to the list above for these cards.

From here you need to go to Tina's blog.  Lori always does beautiful work.

After Tina's Blog you will go to
 and then to  Leesa's blog

Below is a list of everyone in the Stampin Buds Blog Hop.  I hope you will let us know what you think and if we have inspired you to go make some beautiful art yourself. If you like what you see here please add One Scraptastic Grandma to you favorites. Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out our blogs.  Hope to see you again soon.

Happy Scrappin',

Janice
