Anniversary cards

Here are the Anniversary cards that we will be making on March 18th.  

 The flower is from the Love This stamp set.

 This is the Damask embossing folder.

 This card has one of the new embossing folders called Quarter-foil. I inked up the raised side of the folder with Sky ink and then put the cardstock in and ran it through my Big Kick.

 I used Ariana paper to make to make both of these cards.

How to make a card stock cake

Learn how to make 3-D cardstock cakes using Close to my Heart's Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge Bundle.

Here are the cards for my card class on November 17th.

I made this card using Black, Lagoon and Topiary card stock.  I stamped the tree from Family Tree D1526  and the butterfly from A Flitter A1108 in Black Ink on the Lagoon card stock.  I used a white gel pen to dot the edge of the black card stock.

 This card I inked the stamp from Pirouette B1409 in Bamboo ink and then in Sky ink and stamped it in the top left corner of the Daisy White card stock and then Stamped Thinking of you in Dessert Sand ink.  I backed the Daisy White in Dessert Sand card stock and then layered that onto a Sky card base. I then added a large rhinestone to the center of the medalion.

 I made this card using Black and Daisy White card stock and punched out the black and white keys using a SU word label punch. Tied the red ribbon where the black and white meet.  I then stamped Happy Anniversary in Daisy White pigment ink on the black card stock.

 I made this card using Avonlea paper and the Workshop on the go stamp set. I started with a Dessert Sand card base. I distressed the edges and folded down the top portion of the bottom piece of B&T then layered a 2" doily from Artiste and layered a 1 1/2" doily with a ribbon rose on top of that.  I stamped the tag in Bamboo and Juniper Ink.  I added 2 medium rhinestones to the top left corner and Chocolate bakers twine to the tag.

We celebrated 31 years Yesterday.

September 5th, 2012 

I can hardly believe it has been 31 years already.  

My Dear Hubby took me to Claim Jumpers for dinner, it is amazing the places that are willing to accommodate for food allergies these days. We have never been there before and so I emailed the restaurant on Tuesday evening asking about the type of oil they use. The Manager called me just as we were getting ready to leave for dinner to let me know that they use Soy oil and to let me know that they have lots of customers who they prepare special meals for, so it would not be a problem if we wanted to come in, so I said see you in a few minutes we are on our way there.  The food was delicious, or at least Steve's was. Because of my diet restrictions mine is the usual grilled chicken and baked potato plain, they did bring out some EVOO for me to use on my baked potato and of course I add salt and pepper.  At least I didn't have to cook my own meal.  That always makes it taste better.

After dinner Steve took me on our usual Thrift store shopping spree.  No date is complete with out that.  He is such a Romantic.  With work and all, where does he come up with such romantic getaways?  We are planning a trip to the beach this coming weekend to celebrate.  Hope the weather is great.  I can hardly wait to walk on the beach again.  That is something I couldn't do for many years because of the Fibromyalgia, but thanks to this Comprehensive Elimination diet I can walk on the beach again. Yeah!!! 

I hope to get a few things finished up this week in the stamp room, so I can finish getting my room back in order and take pictures to post then get back to crafting again.

It is the last day of Convention, and I get a gift?

I have been watching Facebook updates all week just to see all the cool new stuff that Close To My Heart has in the new Autumn/Winter 2012 Idea Book.  I wish I could go to convention next year, it is going to be at Disney World in Florida June 27 - 29.

 I went to the mail box today, which I only do when I am expecting something that I ordered online and to my surprise I found a package that I didn't order.  Who could that be from?  I wonder what it is?  Why did I get a package from CTMH?  I don't have anything on back-order.

 It was from Jeanette Lynton Founder and CEO of Close To My Heart.  

 She sent me this beautiful charm to celebrate my 5 year anniversary with Close To My Heart.

Isn't that sweet?  It is a beautiful silver charm with the signature "heart key". 

Thank you so much, I didn't expect to get anything besides the email that I received in April.  I am so excited to be part of this wonderful company.  I plan on staying with CTMH for ever.
