Artbooking Mini Albums from Saturdays Idea Book Kick Off party.

Here are the details of the Pro Player Mini Album, by my new Guest Designer Dawn Jedda.  (AKA my Daughter)  I took the pictures on my cell phone and for some reason I couldn't quit shaking so they aren't very good.  I will apologize for them now. Most of this Mini Album was cut on the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge.  The paper pack is called Pro Player and it comes with coordination cardstock in these 4 colors, Slate, Black, Ruby and Pacifica.  She also used Slate Polka-Dot Washi tape, Pro Player Assortment, Slate Striped Twist Ties, Durables Round Studs and Slate and Creme Brulee Bakers Twine.  Dawn used Tech Speak and The Workshop On The Go Stamp sets from pages 32 and 35 in the New Autumn Winter 2013 Idea book.

All the little pieces on the front of the book were cut off the cartridge also.
This page has a pocket and the paper that is inserted in side is from the cartridge too.  When i cut the white paper for Dawn I didn't realize how big it was going to cut out so I used a large scrap but it cut larger than I expected and ended up with half the arrow cut out of the edge.  We both thought it was pretty cool how it turned out and Dawn decided to use it in the book anyway.  She drew the lines on to make it look like notebook paper.  There is a smaller stamp in the 3 sets that actually looks like that paper, so you don't have to draw the lines.

On this page Dawn cut an envelope and tag to go inside the envelope.  She added Washi tape and the twist tie.
Dawn went threw some of my older embellishments and found some Red studs and swirls that go great in the book too.
The joined circles on the right page are an overlay from the Artbooking cartridge and again another notebook paper.
Here are Zack, Hailey, Keyanna, Kobe, Jordan and Alex all playing games in my living room.  Kylie and Mary must have been outside when we took this pic.  This is a normal site at my house.
Zack got bored playing games and decided to play the Keyboard that Grandpa picked up recently.
He jokingly said he was picking one up for all the grandchildren.  However I don't know where he is going to put them.  He loves to encourage them to play music of any kind.  Jordan Plays the Clarinet and Zack is hoping to play the Saxophone when School starts up. My Son James played the Sax in school too.
The one page that didn't get finished before my Party on Saturday.  Dawn added a pocket to the right page and the connected circles adhered to the inside of the back.  This would make a great Connect 4 game background for a page if someone plays connect 4 a lot.

I love how this little Mini Album turned out.  Dawn did such a wonderful job.  Thank you Dawn for designing this great little Mini ALbum for me.

These little mini albums would be great for different little events that happen in our lives that we want to remember forever.  I am so excited that Close To My Heart brought out another Cricut Cartridge and love how they pack so many projects into one cartridge.  You can use both the Art Philosophy and Artiste cartridges right along with the Artbooking cartridge and make so many different things.  It is amazing.  Thank you Close To My Heart for creating such a great tool to work with and making my job so much fun and so easy.

Later Sk8r Squash book

I am teaching another Squash Book class on the 20th.  This time we will be using the CTMH Later Sk8r paper pack X7167B $9.95, Later Sk8r My Stickease Assortment X7167C $4.95.  The stamp sets are Fast and Furious D1541 and the Later Sk8r Workshop On The Go stamp set G1057 $29.95.  These items can be found on pages 44 - 49 in the Spring Summer 2013 Idea book.

Here are pictures of my Later Sk8r Squash book.

This time I made pockets and added tags and photo mats to go into the pockets.  This adds more places to put photos.  This will easily hold 12 photos on the inside and then you have all the triangles you can add photos to also.  Then there is the back side where you can add at least 6 more photos.
I added Gypsy cs to make it a little more feminine so someone could use it for a Mother's day gift.

There are 4 tags for journaling.  I cut them out using the Cricut Artiste cartridge and stamped on both sides.  The one that says It's all GOOD has a piece of the border sticker from the My Stickease Assortment.
The first tag has part of the border strip that you cut off the edge, that says Hangin' out, also has a gear sticker at the bottom from the My Stickease Assortment.  The second one in also has a sticker from the My Stickease Assortment.

These are the photo mats and I used the SU Tab Punch and coordinating stamp set.  The cardstock is CTMH Pear and Outdoor Denim.
This class is $15.00 if you would like to take the class, call me 503-708-6889.  I have complete instructions if you have the stamp sets you could order it by mail.  The $15.00 does not include shipping.

Here are some My Creations Book Mark Albums Z1740 that I have been working on for my Grandchildren.  They aren't done, but I wanted to show you how they are coming along.  We sell them in our CTMH Autumn/Winter 2012 Idea book on page 132 and the Brocade Assortment Z1748 embellishments are sold on page128.

I have to make one more then I can start putting pictures on. I am making these Albums so the my Grandchildren can remember their Grandmother Denise Jedda, that they lost on August 27th, 2011.  I will post more pictures when I get them complete.  I am using CTMH's Avonlea Papers and trying to make them unique to each child.  I really like how they are turning out so far.

Thanksgiving decorations

Here are the Place cards that I made today for our Thanksgiving dinner. There are 12 place cards in all.  Or I should say so far, as you never know who might show up at my door for Thanksgiving.
I cut this from the CTMH Artiste Cartridge on the Thanksgiving page #78 Accent, 4 shift.  I cut them out at 3 1/2".
I used Cashmere card stock then cut the Oval on page 36 with Accent 2 using the leafy print from the Flirty paper pack, I cut it at 1 1/2".  I printed all of our names on Colonial white card stock in brown ink and punched them out using SU's scalloped oval punch then sponged the edges with Dessert Sand Ink.  I punched out the oak leaves from Creme Brulee card stock and punched the Birch leaf from Sorbet card stock, I then spritzed them both with a mix of CTMH's Pearl Paint and water to give them a little shimmer.  I made a mixture of CTMH's Pearl pain and Autumn Terra Cotta reinker to make a spritz and mixed CTMH's Pearl paint with New England Ivy reinker to make another spritzer then spritzed  Daisy White card stock then spritzed it again with a Dessert Sand ink and Alcohol mix and let it dry.  I then punched maple leaves out of that paper.  I punched the Pine branches out of Olive card stock.  The daisy was cut on the Cricut also using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge page 68.  I used Sorbet card stock and CTMH's Quilling tool to curl the daisy, glued it with Liquid Glass and added a rhinestone to the center.  I flattened out the daisy while I was gluing so that it didn't stick out so far.

Also on page 78, there is a wrapper under the Card key and Shift key.  I am going to use it to make a Candle center piece and maybe some Napkin rings to match.  I have been playing with the idea of the cupcake wrapper as napkin rings also.  I guess we will see which works out best.

Hopefully I can find time today in my busy schedule to get some of these things done.

Here are the cards for my card class on November 17th.

I made this card using Black, Lagoon and Topiary card stock.  I stamped the tree from Family Tree D1526  and the butterfly from A Flitter A1108 in Black Ink on the Lagoon card stock.  I used a white gel pen to dot the edge of the black card stock.
This card I inked the stamp from Pirouette B1409 in Bamboo ink and then in Sky ink and stamped it in the top left corner of the Daisy White card stock and then Stamped Thinking of you in Dessert Sand ink.  I backed the Daisy White in Dessert Sand card stock and then layered that onto a Sky card base. I then added a large rhinestone to the center of the medalion.
I made this card using Black and Daisy White card stock and punched out the black and white keys using a SU word label punch. Tied the red ribbon where the black and white meet.  I then stamped Happy Anniversary in Daisy White pigment ink on the black card stock.
I made this card using Avonlea paper and the Workshop on the go stamp set. I started with a Dessert Sand card base. I distressed the edges and folded down the top portion of the bottom piece of B&T then layered a 2" doily from Artiste and layered a 1 1/2" doily with a ribbon rose on top of that.  I stamped the tag in Bamboo and Juniper Ink.  I added 2 medium rhinestones to the top left corner and Chocolate bakers twine to the tag.
If you would like to come to my class on November 17th you can join  Meet up and then join Portland
Friend Scrap, all the details on the class are listed on our group. The cost is $7.00.

I hope you are inspired by my cards, I found inspiration on Pinterest and splitcoaststampers.com.

New artwork for my card class this month.

I found these ideas on Pinterest and Splitcoastampers

I made the first one using CTMH's Avonlea papers.  I added Chocolate and Dessert Sand card stock.  I used the Artiste Cartridge to cut out the shapes under the ribbon rose.  I stamped the tag with the Avonlea workshop stamp set in Dessert Sand and Juniper ink. I sponged all the edges with Dessert Sand Ink then distressed the edges with CTMH's Edge Distressor.  I added 2 large Rhinestones in the top left corner.
I also added Chocolate Bakers twine to the tag.

I made this card using Family Tree D1526.  I stamped the tree in Black Stazon ink on the Lagoon card stock.  I used CTMH's new Lagoon Pigment ink to stamp the swirl on the Black card stock.  I used a White gel pen to dot the edges of the Black card stock.  I stamped the Butterfly from A Flutter a in Black Stazon on the Lagoon card stock and cut it out.  I backed  the black card stock in Topiary card stock.  I dotted around the lagoon swirl on the edge of the black card base.  I used Foam tape to the back of the scalloped circle to give the card some dimension.
I hope to have the other 2 cards made in the next few days.

Please leave a comment to let me know what you think about these cards.
