One Sheet Wonder Card Class

Saturday May 11, 2013  10:30 am.

One Sheet Wonder Card Class - 15 cards for $10.00.

I will show you how to take one 12" X 12" sheet of Background and Texture paper (B and T) and cut it so you can make up to 15 cards.  I will have several of my sentiment stamp sets, Ink Tower, Blocks and my Cricut available for you to use to finish your cards.

Please bring your favorite adhesive, paper trimmer and scissors, you can bring punches, stamps, stickers and embellishments to finish the cards.  We will be using the B and T paper from the New "Dream Pop" Paper. May is National Scrapbooking Month and this is the Special.
Starting May 1st. If you place an order of $35.00 you can get this paper pack for just $10.00.  This picture does not do the paper justice at all.

Here is what you will get;
1 sheet Dream Pop B and T
4 sheets Cardstock
15 card bases (White)
Cutting Diagram and print-out of picture below showing the completed cards.

The basic cards will end up looking similar these.
These cards are great for building up your stash, you can keep them simple or embellish them as much as you want.  Here are a couple examples using Buzz and Bumble.  I kept these pretty simple by just adding a stamped sentiment.

Here I added a stamped image and cut out flowers then added chocolate pearls to the centers.  The Bee and one flower is popped up on foam tape. Then I stamped the sentiment.

Here I cut out shapes from the Artiste Cricut cartridge in 2 sizes.  I hand cut two flowers and colored them in.  I cut 4 leaves out from the same cartridge also.  I stamped the sentiment on the Die cut shapes.  I used liquid glass and put clear micro beads on the flower centers. Once the flower centers were dry, I assembled the card.

Here are the 15 cards that I made using the Cutting Diagram.

Oh My! Time has just been flying by lately.

I haven't posted much lately, but I have been busy creating and planning Classes and our new CTMH Idea book kickoff in January 2013.   It is hard to believe that we are only 10 days away from the new year.

Shannon and I have a Meetup Group called Portland Friends Scrap.  We currently have over 160 BFF's who have joined our group.  We meet at the same place every month and crop.  3 times a year we have an Idea Book kickoff party to celebrate the new Idea book and all the cool new stuff in the book.  We've come up with a new game to play at our crops called "The Bucket List" where we'll be giving away fun little goodies while we papercraft the day away.  This should be a lot of fun for everyone.

Here are some of the cards we will be making on January 12, 2013.
La Belle Vie Card class $10.00 You will make 6 cards.

Here are the cards for my card class on November 17th.

I made this card using Black, Lagoon and Topiary card stock.  I stamped the tree from Family Tree D1526  and the butterfly from A Flitter A1108 in Black Ink on the Lagoon card stock.  I used a white gel pen to dot the edge of the black card stock.
This card I inked the stamp from Pirouette B1409 in Bamboo ink and then in Sky ink and stamped it in the top left corner of the Daisy White card stock and then Stamped Thinking of you in Dessert Sand ink.  I backed the Daisy White in Dessert Sand card stock and then layered that onto a Sky card base. I then added a large rhinestone to the center of the medalion.
I made this card using Black and Daisy White card stock and punched out the black and white keys using a SU word label punch. Tied the red ribbon where the black and white meet.  I then stamped Happy Anniversary in Daisy White pigment ink on the black card stock.
I made this card using Avonlea paper and the Workshop on the go stamp set. I started with a Dessert Sand card base. I distressed the edges and folded down the top portion of the bottom piece of B&T then layered a 2" doily from Artiste and layered a 1 1/2" doily with a ribbon rose on top of that.  I stamped the tag in Bamboo and Juniper Ink.  I added 2 medium rhinestones to the top left corner and Chocolate bakers twine to the tag.
If you would like to come to my class on November 17th you can join  Meet up and then join Portland
Friend Scrap, all the details on the class are listed on our group. The cost is $7.00.

I hope you are inspired by my cards, I found inspiration on Pinterest and splitcoaststampers.com.

Birthday card.

Here is a birthday card that I made this week for my friend Loyal.  I made it using La Belle Vie papers and the Artiste Cricut cartridge along with our new Black Tulle ribbon and the coordinating stamp set Jardin D1528 and one of the coordinating stamp sets that came with the Artiste cartridge.  I used Whisper and Black ink and sponged the edges of all in Bamboo ink.  I added small pearls and rhinestones also.

This was so much fun to make and it was easy to roll the roses using the new Quilling tool Z 1795.  If you would like to make cards like this call 503-708-6889 or email me jwilson@bctonline.com and I will schedule a class.

New artwork for my card class this month.

I found these ideas on Pinterest and Splitcoastampers

I made the first one using CTMH's Avonlea papers.  I added Chocolate and Dessert Sand card stock.  I used the Artiste Cartridge to cut out the shapes under the ribbon rose.  I stamped the tag with the Avonlea workshop stamp set in Dessert Sand and Juniper ink. I sponged all the edges with Dessert Sand Ink then distressed the edges with CTMH's Edge Distressor.  I added 2 large Rhinestones in the top left corner.
I also added Chocolate Bakers twine to the tag.

I made this card using Family Tree D1526.  I stamped the tree in Black Stazon ink on the Lagoon card stock.  I used CTMH's new Lagoon Pigment ink to stamp the swirl on the Black card stock.  I used a White gel pen to dot the edges of the Black card stock.  I stamped the Butterfly from A Flutter a in Black Stazon on the Lagoon card stock and cut it out.  I backed  the black card stock in Topiary card stock.  I dotted around the lagoon swirl on the edge of the black card base.  I used Foam tape to the back of the scalloped circle to give the card some dimension.
I hope to have the other 2 cards made in the next few days.

Please leave a comment to let me know what you think about these cards.

Update on Our Idea Book Kick Off Party.

We had so much fun, here is how we decorated for the Beach party.
I made the banner using the new Artiste Cricut cartridge and the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridges.  I also used the Disney Princesss Dreams Come True Cricut cartridge to cut out the shells.
Jamie brought the sock monkey and Shannon gave him a disguise and put him on the bucked of candy.  The proceeds from the candy goes to Operation Smile.

To start the day off, we made 4 cards, here are pics of some of the participants.  You can find pictures of the cards on my Classes page.
Then we took a break for lunch and when we came back we played Bunko.
Here are some pics of that.
This is the head table for Bunko.
This is the bottom table for Bunko.
Shannon rolled a 3 of a kind and choose the giant sun glasses.
Jamie rolled a 3 of a kind too.
Can you tell the glasses were popular?
The only round Shannon lost was when she was partnered with her Man Rafe.

I cut out Mustaches for all of us and they were a hit too.
We had a roll off for Most Wins and for most Losses.

 Rafe Lost.
After Bunko, we had the Idea Book Unveiling and Jamie did a great job.
Then the after party started and things got a little WILD.

Jamie and Rafe strutted around wearing their fig leaves.
Shelly tossed the Giant beach ball around.

We even raised $5.00 for Operation Smile.  I know that doesn't seem like much, but every penny counts these days.  It costs $240.00 to fix a child's smile.  You can find out more about Operation Smile here http://www.operationsmile.org/.

As I said before, we had so much fun, I wish you had joined us.
