6 days till Christmas!!!

Wow, I am still working on my Christmas cards.

I have so much to share with you and don't even know where to start.  Jordan (my 11 year old Grandson) has been baking chocolate chip cookies.  He took some to his teacher and gave some to the ladies in the front office at his school.  Of course there is only 1 left.  

Zack, Mary and Hailey made Snowman Candy Canes for their Teachers.

Aren't they cute?

They also played with a candy mold that looks like a starlight mint.

My Dear Hubby bought me the Cricut cartridge Very Merry Tags on the Black Friday sale and so I played last night making tags for all my presents.  I really like the Snowman and the big snowflake.

Just received a notice from Close To My Heart Corporate Office.  As of December 1, 2009 the "A" sized stamps that were $10.95 each are now $7.95 each, and they will stay that way.  The new Spring 2010 Idea Book (which is Fabulous, I wish I could show it to you) has all the "A" sized stamps listed at $7.95.

My Christmas Cards.

I said in my last post that I would be sharing my Christmas cards so here they are.  I decided to purchase one of the card kits From Close To My Heart, it is My Originals - Around the Holidays Card Kit. This Kit makes 12 cards and uses My Stickease stickers that you layer.

They were pretty easy to put together and they are cute, but I still prefer to make mine without a kit.  I send out about 50+ Christmas cards every year so this is just a few of my cards.

I made some from the Evensong Level 2 paper pack. I made 2 of each,  I took the Ideas for these cards from  the Wishes Book.  Greeting Card Workshop on page 111.  The Stamp sets I used were, D1366 - Holiday Trinkets, D1384 - Snow Flurries, D1320 - Shinning Star, D1388 - Card Chatter - Christmas and C1328 - Festive Frills.  I used Sorbet, Cranberry and New England Ivy inks.  A little Red Velvet Ribbon and some sparkles.

 

So I now have 32 of my 50+ cards and if I use the 9 from the Jingle kit I only have to make a few more.  I hope these give you some Ideas for your cards.  I am sorry it took me so long to get these posted.  I will try to post some of the Items I took to the 4 Bazaars that I did this year.  I normally do 2 Bazaars but when I got the opportunity to do more I jumped at it so that I could actually get some classes started.  It was Awesome, I have 12 people interested in my local classes, they start January 2, 2010, and will be held at the Beavercreek Telephone Company Meeting room on Henrici Rd, in Oregon City, OR. My first Comment

I am so excited, I got my first comment.  YEAH!!!  Thanks Tarina.  And I have 3 followers how exciting.  I can't believe how many people have checked out my blog.  I login and look with amazement every time.  I have been very busy as many of you have been, working on items for the bazaars and I have another one this Saturday near Aloha, OR.  A friend took some of my Rolodex index cards and displayed them at a bazaar she was in last Saturday and she called me last night to let me know she sold all of the Birthday ones.  So here I go again making more for this Saturday.  I just set up my very first Scrapbooking and Card workshops starting in January  and will continue them every month as long as I can.  This has been an awesome month for me.  I have been trying to get classes going for a long time.  For more information on my workshops send me an email or look at my calendar on my CTMH website.  jwilson.myctmh.com

Again I am sorry that I didn't get pictures on these pages yet.  I have been a little busy this last week.  I had all 4 of my Grandchildren along with my Great Nephew and together we prepared for the Thanksgiving feast on Thursday.  We made pumpkin, apple and berry pies.  Chocolate chip, peanut butter and no bake cookies.  I took them in the kitchen one by one and let them make their favorite desert. We had such a good time and the kids were so proud of what they had done.  We also made Turkey napkin rings and hand turkey place markers for every one who was invited to dinner.  We invited Grandma Denise, Grandpa Mel and Uncle Luke to join us again this year.  

I hope you all had a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving.

I have a Cricut Expressions and I also have S.C.A.L. or Sure Cuts A Lot, which you can use with the Cricut.  I found a cute site a while back myscrapchick.com   They have free files on Fridays that you can sign up for so I did.  Last Friday they let me know there was a free file so I looked and it was this cute little snowman.  I just had to make him right away.  They also have files for $1.00 what a deal.  This site is Awesome!!! Depending on the size you choose to cut him at he could be place cards for a table setting. You could stamp Happy Holidays in side and send him out for your Christmas Cards.

I have been very busy with the Bazaars lately, that is why I haven't been posting every couple days.  My next Bazaar is in Hillsboro, OR on November 13th & 14th.  If you are out and about in that area stop by and say Hi.  The address is 6044 SE Drake St. Hillsboro, OR.  Take Canyon Rd. West and turn right onto Century then left onto Drake St.  There will be signs for "Seven Bazaar Women", I'm not quite sure how I got invited to join them, but I'm afraid I fit in.  Ok, I have known a couple of these ladies for a few (10) years now.

Paper Rose Package toppers

I found a video tutorial on how to make these roses, but I can't remember where I found it. Sorry. If you know where I saw these please let me know as I would like to see more of this persons tutorials.

From the Left on the top row, Sorbet, Holiday Red, Blush, Pansy Purple and Creme Brulee. I used Liquid Glass to adhere them to a 2" circle of card stock and put a piece of double sided foam tape so they can be put on a package. If you would like the instructions to make these please send me an email.
