WOW!!! 8 years?

I can't believe I have been blogging for 8 years.  Happy Blog-iversary to me.  

It has been a pleasure and a pain. lol

As I reflect back over the years and remember all the fun I had making cards and pages and I was so excited to share them with you.  I have been quite busy since my flood last year and I still don't have my scrap area fixed up the way I want it or even really usable yet.  Thank goodness for that giant island we put in. We use it for everything.  

I just want to say THANK YOU!!! To all of you who have kept coming back to check in and see what I have been up to.  I am sorry if I have disappointed you at times with no cards or pages. I hope you will stay with me as I really do plan on getting back to making cards and layouts.

Crop 4 Vets!!!

Have I mentioned that in just over a month The VFW Post 1324 Auxiliary will be hosting a Crop 4 Vets?  February 11th, from 9 am till 9 pm.  104 S. Tumwater Dr., Oregon City, OR 97045

That's right, we will be hosting a Crop 4 Vets to raise money to help more veterans.  I am so excited because this is the first of 2 Crops for this new year. That's right, we had several Croppers who couldn't attend the last one and we were asked if we could host another one so more Croppers could attend.  I hope you can join us.  We have lots of prizes too.

The VFW Post 1324 Auxiliary is hosting our 2nd Annual Crop 4 Vets.

Saturday September 24th from 9am to 9pm

Join us for 12 hours of fun and creativity! Simply bring the projects you are working on and enjoy 4 feet of table space along with great conversation in a well-lit, drama-free space. Don’t scrapbook, that’s ok, if you make cards, crochet, knit or some other type of craft you are welcome too. 100% of all proceeds from event fees go to the Auxiliary programs to help our Veterans, local Military and their families in need!

For just $40.00, we will provide lunch and dinner. There will be Door prizes, a *scrapbooking class and a *card class (*additional fees apply). You will even have a chance to win a prize or two. We might have a few vendors there as well.

Contact me for information on Group rates, so you can bring all your friends.

Raffle Tickets! Earn tickets for our grand prize drawing.
• Every person that arrives by 9:30am will start the day off with (2) raffle tickets.
• Bring a Personal Hygiene product and receive (1) raffle ticket per item, (limit 10 tickets)!
• Make a scrapbook layout for our Auxiliary and you will receive (2) tickets!
• Make cards for our Veterans and you will receive (1) ticket per card (limit 10 tickets)
• Knit or Crochet a hat for our Veterans and receive (1) ticket per hat (limit 10 tickets)
Participate in our games and challenges and earn even more tickets. Tickets may also be purchased.

We will open at 9:00 am and close at 9:00 pm

We have 32 spaces left which will fill up quickly so get signed up soon.

Each person will get a ticket for coming and may earn more tickets throughout the event. You can earn tickets by bringing Personal Hygiene products, making pages for our VFW Post 1324 Auxiliary Scrapbooks, making cards for our military and Veterans and participating in games and challenges. 

We already have donations from Art Impressions, Lawn Fawn, Two Chick Designs, Fiskars and Spell BInders.

My granddaughters, Mary and Hailey helped hand out przes and gathered the silent auction bids. We had several members of our Auxiliary making and serving food.  Pizza for lunch and a Baked Potato bar for dinner.   

Last year we raised $431.00 for our Veterans, Military members and their families.  And filled a 35 gallon barrell with personal hygiene products. You could help up raise even more this year.

I look forward to seeing all your smiling faces in September.

Crop 4 Vets update.

I am so excited, today Art Impressions sent me an email stating they would like to donate a few items to our Crop 4 Vets.  This event is really starting to take shape.  Thank you Art Impressions.  Here is a link to their website.  Make sure to take a look at their stamps.  Here are a couple I like.

I can't wait to see what the send us.  

We have a lot planned for the Crop 4 Vets.  You don't have to be a Scrapbooker to join us for the Crop. Do you crochet? Do you knit? Do you sew? Paper craft? Do you make your own jewelry? Bring a project and work on it at the Crop.  Meet some new friends while you are there.  We have lots planned for the Crop 4 Vets. We have a Masseuse, Jeremy will be offering 15 min massages and will have his Damsel in Defense products. Tina Jaspers-Keeler will be joining us for the crop but will also have her Thirty One Bags there. I will be offering a 2 page layout class. Nancilee Baker will be there with Stampin' Up offering a card class. We will have a Photo booth and hopefully a nice silent auction as well.  All the proceeds will go to help our local Military members and their families in need and to help our local veterans as well.

Cost: $30.00 per person for ½ a table space (tables are 8’ long) No meal included
          $35.00 for ½ a table space 1 meal included 
          $40.00 for ½ a table space lunch and dinner included

Each person will get a ticket for coming and may earn more tickets throughout the event. You can earn tickets by bringing Personal Hygiene products(list below), making pages for our Ladies Auxiliary Scrapbooks, making cards for our troops and participating in games and challenges.

All proceeds will go to help our Veterans and Military members and their families who are in need.
