Well I wanted to talk about how the Expo went this last weekend. So glad so many of you came to say hello, it was great seeing all of you.
So here is what our booth looked like. We tried to make it so people could come in and look at all the samples we had on display. Our Make-N-Take was right in the front.
Our Raffle bags,
I used For Always paper pack with Honey, Lagoon and Ruby along with Slate, Whisper and and Black cardstock. I also used our silver glitter tape and some antique bronze durables.
On this bag I used Babycakes paper pack with Burlap ribbon to make the little lion. Sunset, Slate and Brown glitter paper.
I used Laughing Lola paper pack and cut the Owl out from the Artbooking cricut cartridge. I used Cocoa, Black, Olive and Bamboo cardstock.
This bag was decorated using the Huntington paper pack and coordinating stamp set. I added some Barn Red and burlap ribbon for accents.
These bags were so quick and easy to make, you should try one next time you have a birthday or shower to go to.
Here is the Spin It to Win It board that I made for this event. There are 8 different sections, we wrote a prize in each section so you had a chance to win several different items. On the left corner of the table you will see a card box that I covered in Laughing Lola paper to use for our entries in the raffle drawing. I was hoping it would be big enough and with only 5 entries it was plenty big.
We met several people who used to scrapbook and now are interested in getting back into it, maybe trying out our Studio J digital scrapbooking program. We also met a few who wants to come to our meetup group and maybe take our classes. Speaking of which, I have decided to teach a class on my Laughing Lola Mini Album that I made last week just before the Expo. Here is a picture.
The class is $30.00 and it will be listed on our Meetup group soon. This Mini Album is 4" x 7" X 1 3/4". It has 13 pages, 5 fold outs, 14 magnets and 8 tags. Here is a link to our meetup group, http://www.meetup.com/PortlandFriendsScrap/ Join our group so you can sign up for the class. If you like the mini album but are not into Hallpween, I can change the paper pack that I use, just let me know ASAP which paper pack you wish to use and I will cut the papers using that pack for you.
Happy Scrappin',
Janice

We were right between Pure Romance and Usborne Books. Both booths were busy and so was the Damsel in Distress booth just down from Pure Romance. They kept showing their Tasers which made a loud zapping noise and flashlights which had flashing lights and a siren on them.
