I hope you enjoyed the video.  If you are interested in making a Necklace or any of the other Base and Bling wearable crafts you can order it here or by calling me at 503-708-6889.

Here are pictures of the items I made using our Base & Bling Jewelry Necklace

I started with a Teal velvet that I found at a yard sale last summer.
Then added the Pink and Teal accents along with the Metal flowers.
Here I did the same but added purple instead of the pink accents.

Here are the Hair clips one in Pink and one in Purple.  I also added different metal accents.

I purchased these hair combs a while back and thought it would be fun to play with them while I was working with the Base & Bling.

Clark County Women's Expo Recap.

Well I wanted to talk about how the Expo went this last weekend.  So glad so many of you came to say hello, it was great seeing all of you.

So here is what our booth looked like.  We tried to make it so people could come in and look at all the samples we had on display.  Our Make-N-Take was right in the front.
We were right between Pure Romance and Usborne Books.  Both booths were busy and so was the Damsel in Distress booth just down from Pure Romance.  They kept showing their Tasers which made a loud zapping noise and flashlights which had flashing lights and a siren on them.

Our Raffle bags,
I used For Always paper pack with Honey, Lagoon and Ruby along with Slate, Whisper and and Black cardstock.  I also used our silver glitter tape and some antique bronze durables.
On this bag I used Babycakes paper pack with Burlap ribbon to make the little lion.  Sunset, Slate and Brown glitter paper.
I used Laughing Lola paper pack and cut the Owl out from the Artbooking cricut cartridge.  I used Cocoa, Black, Olive and Bamboo cardstock.
This bag was decorated using the Huntington paper pack and coordinating stamp set. I added some Barn Red and burlap ribbon for accents.

These bags were so quick and easy to make, you should try one next time you have a birthday or shower to go to.

Here is the Spin It to Win It board that I made for this event.  There are 8 different sections, we wrote a prize in each section so you had a chance to win several different items.  On the left corner of the table you will see a card box that I covered in Laughing Lola paper to use for our entries in the raffle drawing.  I was hoping it would be big enough and with only 5 entries it was plenty big.
We met several people who used to scrapbook and now are interested in getting back into it, maybe trying out our Studio J digital scrapbooking program.  We also met a few who wants to come to our meetup group and maybe take our classes.  Speaking of which, I have decided to teach a class on my Laughing Lola Mini Album that I made last week just before the Expo.  Here is a picture.

The class is $30.00 and it will be listed on our Meetup group soon. This Mini Album is 4" x 7" X 1 3/4".  It has 13 pages, 5 fold outs, 14 magnets and 8 tags.  Here is a link to our meetup group,  Join our group so you can sign up for the class.  If you like the mini album but are not into Hallpween, I can change the paper pack that I use, just let me know ASAP which paper pack you wish to use and I will cut the papers using that pack for you.

One of Close to my Heart’s newest Consultants “Down Under” created this wonderful video showing how to easily convert Close to my Heart’s 12" x 12" Memory Protectors to Creative Memories album pages. With CM discontinuing many of their core products, I thought this might be useful information for many of you. You can purchase Close to my Heart Memory Protectors in packages of 10 or in bulk packages of 50.

Laughing Lola Mini Album

I have been wanting to make one of these for quite some time now and when I saw another CTMH Consultant Annette Green post her Graphic 45 Tag Album on Facebook the other day, I just had to make one.  So here are the pictures.

I used Laughing Lola paper, Sparkles and Pearls along with a couple Halloween Stamp sets.  Some are retired, but I think they fit perfectly with the album.  I used 2 rectangle chipboard pieces from CTMH's Tag album for the covers and made my own binding by cutting a 4" x 12" strip of Black cardstock and scoring it at 1" intervals then folded it like an accordion. I folded it in half length wise and adhered it together to make it more sturdy.  I cut several cards from the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge using the Cricut Design Studio(Similar to Cricut Craft Room), because I could make them exactly the width and length that I wanted them.  I also cut envelopes.  I then adhered the cards and tags that I cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge to the left or right side of the folded cardstock.  I cut all of the pieces out of Black cardstock.

I love how quickly this little album came together.  It was so much fun, to play with all my toys and beautiful papers.  I think Laughing Lola is my favorite paper pack out of this book, however I do like Proplayer paper pack a lot also.

I would love to know what you think about this little Mini Album.  So please leave me a comment.   If you are interested in taking a class on this book, please email me or call me 503-708-6889 and I will let you know when and where the class will be held.

I will have this mini album on display at the Clark County Women's Expo Saturday, September 14th and Sunday, September 15th if you want to stop by and take a closer look.

I will also have the new Holidays From The Heart Ideabook, be one of the first 40 people to visit our booth and get one while supplies last.
