New cards.

I finally made a couple new cards today and no they are not the 16 I need for all the October Birthdays on my calendar.

I played with the September Stamp of the Month D1375 Treasures. I used Lilac Mist paper and ink along with Sweet Leaf ink and Ribbon and I used some Daisy White Organdy ribbon too. I used my Cuttle Bug Swiss Dots embossing folder on the white Shimmery paper, and sponges lightly around the edges of the Daisy White CS with the flower on it. Inside I stamped Thinking of you from D1265 Gracious Greetings. I am sending this to my DH's Boss along with the Pictures I took at their wedding last weekend.

This one I made for my Neighbor who's bride just arrived from the Philippines this week. They were married 14 months ago and he has been anxiously waiting for his lovely bride. I made this card to welcome her to the neighborhood. I used D1370 Welcome Home, and again I used Lilac Mist ink and card stock and the shimmery white paper that I found at Big Lots. I also used the Daisy White Organdy ribbon.

I have been working on some other items too, but I am not quite ready to share them yet.

Poop?

Yes, you read it correctly. I spent some time last week making some Turkey Poop and Pumpkin Poop for the Bazaar in November. This goes right along with all the other Poop I make and sell.

My Friend Teri Showed me how to make things using oval and circle punches and so I thought that I would try my Cricut and see if I could do the same with it. The punches are easier but now I don't have to go buy all the punches. The Pumpkin was made with Accent Essentials and Paper Doll Dress up. The Turkey was made with Accent Essentials, a tiny Daisy flower punch and a 1/2" circle punch. I cut the beaks out of scraps. The Turkey was very time consuming because I had to cut all the scallops then cut each one apart and put them back together. I used the Xyron with permanent adhesive in it. For the leaves on the background I used the W2013 Give Thanks Booking set. I inked the stamp in the lighter color and then rocked the stamp on the darker color to get the dual tones.

Circle cards

I had to make a couple Thank you cards this week so I thought I would play with my Circle Cutter. I love the Emporium Paper pack so I used it and added a flower and some fibers. The flower center is a small circle punch.

Okay, this one isn't quite a circle, but the one above wouldn't fit in the envelope. I still like how they turned out.

Sorry I haven't posted any new artwork lately.

I have been busy crafting, instead of Scrapbooking. I am going to have a table at the Beaver Creek Telephone Company Bazaar this year. I have had a table three out of the four years BCT has been doing the Bazaar. I was unable to have a table last year due to a fall which I tore muscles and ligaments in my back. I am so excited to be able to do this again. It will be at the Beavercreek Elementary School at 21944 South Yeoman Rd., Beavercreek, Oregon. I try to sign up for this Bazaar every year because the table fees go to two local charities, Pioneer Community Center and Father's Heart Street Ministries. The Bazaar is open from 10:00 am till 4:00 pm on November 7, 2009. If you are in the area please stop by, I would love to see you.

I make all kinds of things but mostly goofy novelty items, like Cowboy Bubble Bath and of course all the Poops you can think of, Snowman, Reindeer and so on. I even have a Hill Billy Bikini, Hill Billy Washer and Dryer and Cow Seeds to grow your own herd, just to name a few. If you are interested in seeing any of these items and you can't make it to the Bazaar, just email me and I will send you a picture of them. I crochet and knit scarves, hats, socks and gloves. My Granddaughters think they are the coolest kids around with matching Hats, Gloves, Scarves and Socks. I will have to take some pictures of them wearing theirs.

I probably should warn you that October is one of my busiest months. I have four Grandchildren who all turn a year older in October and my Daughter's Birthday is in October also. We made it a little easier for all of us though, we have one giant birthday party and the kids get to invite 3 friends each. We all love Halloween, so we usually have a dress up Halloween Birthday Party. This year they decided to have it on Halloween since it is on a Saturday. This is going to be so much fun!!!

I have posted some specials on my CTMH website on the actual Birthdays, so if you want to place an order and want to save 10% or get free shipping check out my calendar to see when the special savings days are. My specials are in addition to any special CTMH might have. If for some reason they have free shipping, in the Month of October, I will figure something else out.

I will try to post some new artwork this week. I have 16 birthdays that I need to make cards for, this coming month. Wow, that's a lot of Birthday cards!!!

The Wedding

We have had rain off and on for a couple days now and today we had rain in the morning and by noon or so it was gone. The sun came out and was beautiful. Pat and Jacki's Wedding was in their back yard and they had a big awning with tables and chairs set up underneath. They were so nervous, as if neither had been married before.
After the vows came a very nice and heart felt toast to both Pat and Jacki from one of Jacki's Beautiful Daughters. She said she was so glad to see a spark back in her Mother's eyes.

They asked my Hubby to help open the Bubbly and set them on each table. So here he is helping.

After the ceremony they served Bar-B-Q Chicken and Steak with Baked Potatoes and Corn on the cob. The food was delicious!!!
Here is Chef Buzz holding his famous grilled pepper and Chef Bohne hard at work cooking the Chicken and Steak. You can't really tell from this picture but Chef Bohne has a Thermometer in the pocked on the Right sleeve of his Chef shirt.

This was the beautiful cake, it was Chocolate with Raspberry filling. YUM!!!

And guess what? On the way home, I realized that we didn't sign that beautiful card I made them. Oh well at least I remembered to take it to them. I did stamp the back so they will know who it is from. I just feel sooooo dumb!

Trip to the beach for Labor Day Weekend.

This is the only picture at the beach that I took. I thought I saw an Otter in the waves but I guess not.

We went to celebrate our 28th Anniversary. The weather was nice and it was so quiet. I took some projects to work on but didn't get much done.

I came home and made a wedding card for Steve's boss who is getting married on the 19th.
I've seen so many beautiful cards done like this that I wanted to make one myself and I think it turned out Beautiful. I stamped the saying from D1341 Butterfly Wings inside. The base is CTMH cs but the other papers are not. The Silver is left over from Stampin' Up and the white shimmery paper I purchased at Big Lots. The butterfly is a Sizzix die cut and the embossing folders are Swiss Dots and Script from Cuttle Bug.

Flower Pot Card

I thought I would try a flower pot card with the new Grace papers and D1369 Delightful Things stamp set. I also used C1257 Happy Birthday set. I stamped the tiny Daisy on Daisy White cs and punched it out and used liquid glass to adhere it too a clear button for the flower centers. I stamped the large flower on the yellow fish scale paper from Grace and layered it on Daisy White cs for stability I used pop dots to attach it to the card so that the flowers would stand out over the edge of the pot. This is my first attempt at making a flower pot card. I definitely need to play with this pattern more.

Thanks for checking out my card. I look forward to any comments you wish to leave.
